Replace with operational Sirkula data once the pilot is running. For city-level context, use official SIPSN and Surakarta City Environmental Agency data along with its access date.

Composition affects sale price and choice of processing machinery. The organic fraction determines the need for composting units.
Waste Bank Unit activity status
Sirkula flags a unit as dormant if there is no transaction for seven days. This flagging is what allows mentoring to happen before a unit stops entirely.
| Subdistrict | Registered units | Active | Dormant | Volume/month (kg) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Banjarsari | 32 | 24 | 8 | 38,400 |

How the data is verified
1. DepositWaste Bank Unit caretakers record the type and weight of resident deposits.
2. CollectCollectors confirm actual weight with a photo.
3. ReceiveThe warehouse re-weighs; discrepancies are flagged by the system.
4. SellSales invoices are matched against outgoing volume.
5. AuditKey figures are independently verified on a regular basis.
City context
The city of Surakarta sends roughly 300–400 tons of waste per day to the Putri Cempo landfill, a 17-hectare facility that has exceeded its design capacity for roughly two decades. In March 2026 the city government received an administrative sanction from the Ministry of Environment to draft an open-dumping phase-out action plan. Re-verify these figures against official sources before publishing.
